We’re Hiring: Senior Public Affairs Consultant

Established in April 2020, Belmont is a public affairs, PR and stakeholder engagement firm that specialises in the energy, planning and infrastructure sectors.

We advise market-leading clients on all aspects of engagement with elected representatives, government officials, the media, local communities and other stakeholders. This can be in relation to significant development projects or on broader policy issues affecting entire industries.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced public affairs/stakeholder engagement consultant to join the team to help manage client work and drive our growth in the time ahead.

The role will involve a range of responsibilities and is perfect for someone with a proven track record in Northern Irish government relations, political communications and stakeholder engagement in a consultancy setting who wants an opportunity to take the next step in their career.

This position brings a unique opportunity for progression and the successful candidate will play a central role in our exciting plans for continued growth and expansion.

The successful candidate will be:

  • Responsible for contributing to the commercial development of the business by growing existing client briefs and winning new clients
  • Based at our office in Belfast city centre with a mix of in-office and remote working

We’re looking for:

  • An experienced public affairs consultant/ lobbyist looking for a unique opportunity
  • At least 5 years’ agency experience with a strong track record of success
  • Excellent understanding of the political and business landscapes in NI with strong contacts across each area
  • Proven ability to manage client relationships and provide strategic advice
  • Experience in the energy, planning or infrastructure sectors
  • Ambition to play a leadership role in a growing consultancy
  • Commitment to first-class client service
  • Creative thinking and new ideas
  • Full driving license with access to own vehicle

As our Senior Public Affairs Consultant you will receive:

  • £40k – £45k per annum (dependent on experience) and benefits
  • Flexible working environment (mix of working from home and office-based working)
  • 2.30pm finish on Fridays
